Q. Where is Hahei
Hahei is located on the East Coast of the Coromandel Peninsula
Q. How do I get to Hahei
To get to Hahei from Auckland follow the Southern Motorway (SH1) south past Bombay until you get to the intersection with SH2 signposted to the Coromandel Peninsula and Tauranga. Follow SH2 past Maramarua to the intersection with SH25 signposted for the Coromandel Peninsula and Thames. Follow SH25 until Kopu. After you go over the one lane bridge at Kopu and reach the intersection at the Kopu Hotel, turn right, then after 500m or so turn left onto SH25A signposted for Whitianga, Whangamata and Tairua. Drive on thru Tairua towards Whitianga, until you reach the intersection with the road to Hahei, signposted for Cooks Beach, Hahei and Hotwater beach. From the intersection it is about 10km to Hahei.From Kopu to Hahei will take around 1 hour at normal driving speed.

To get to Hahei from Hamilton,follow the SH26 towards Paeroa, then on towards Thames. Before you reach Kopu turn right onto SH25A signposted for Whitianga, Whangamata and Tairua. Drive on thru Tairua towards Whitianga, until you reach the intersection with the road to Hahei, signposted for Cooks Beach, Hahei and Hotwater beach. From the intersection it is about 10km to Hahei.From Kopu to Hahei will take around 1 hour at normal driving speed.

To get to Hahei from Tauranga,follow SH2 to Waihi, then SH25 to Whangamata then on to Tairua. Drive on thru Tairua towards Whitianga, until you reach the intersection with the road to Hahei, signposted for Cooks Beach, Hahei and Hotwater beach. From the intersection it is about 10km to Hahei.

Q. How do I find Gull cottage?
Gull Cottage is number 6, Dawn Avenue. Once you arrive in Hahei, you'll find Dawn Avenue on the right hand side of Hahei Beach Road, almost immediately after the Hahei General Store, which is on on the left hand side. Gull Cottage is signposted at the beginning of Dawn Ave.

Gull Cottage is not suitable for pre-school children.
Q. Does Gull Cottage have sea views.
No - although 'glimpses' of the sea are possible to any very tall visitors from the upstairs deck!.
Q. Does Gull Cottage have disabled facilities?
Sorry, no. Gull Cottage facilities are not suited for the physically disabled
Q. How far is Gull Cottage from the beach
The beach is only 2 minutes walk away.
Q. How far is Gull Cottage from the shops
The general store and other shops are only a 1 minute walk away.
Q. Are pets allowed?
Only by arrangement - please ask before booking.
